How to summarize a long PDF report without uploading it to an AI service

A 60-page evaluation, a policy paper or a tender document lands in your inbox and you need the essentials before a meeting. Most AI summarizers upload your file to a server, which is a problem for confidential or unpublished documents. This summarizer works on your own device: in Chrome on a computer it uses Chrome’s built-in AI, and elsewhere it picks the most important sentences of the document.

Step by step

  1. Open the AI PDF Summarizer on Convert Magician.
  2. Drop your PDF. It is read in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
  3. Choose the kind of summary you need, for example key points or a short overview.
  4. Read the summary, check the keywords, word count and reading time, then copy it or download it as a text file.

Good to know

  • Treat the summary as a map, not a replacement. For decisions, money or legal points, read the original sections it points you to.
  • For Arabic documents, and in browsers other than Chrome, the tool selects key sentences from the document itself, so nothing is invented.
  • Scanned PDFs have no text to summarize. Run OCR PDF first, then summarize the result.

Questions

Is my document sent to an AI service?

No. The AI runs inside Chrome on your computer, and the key-sentence method runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Does it work for Arabic or French documents?

Yes. Arabic documents are summarized with the key-sentence method, which keeps the original wording.

Can it summarize Word files too?

Use the AI Document Summarizer for Word, text and HTML files.
